Liga de Justicia Foundation is now Fundación de Esperanza, a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization established in 2021 and proudly based in Brentwood, Long Island. Although we officially became a non-profit in recent years, our work within the community extends much further back. For over a decade, our team and partners have been deeply engaged in serving families through a wide range of programs and initiatives. From our Back-to-School drives that equip children with the supplies they need to succeed, to our Thanksgiving turkey distributions and Christmas Toy Store that ensure families can celebrate the holidays with dignity and joy, our commitment to uplifting the community has always been at the heart of what we do. Beyond celebrations, we have also hosted soccer clinics, immigration forums, and educational initiatives, reflecting our belief that empowerment comes in many forms—whether through sports, knowledge, or simple acts of kindness.

It was this ongoing involvement, combined with the positive impact we witnessed year after year, that inspired us to formalize our efforts by creating our own non-profit organization. By doing so, we are able to better structure our programs, expand our reach, and build stronger collaborations with local agencies, schools, and private businesses that share our vision of service.

Our organization is locally driven and designed to serve the entire family, starting with our youth. In the fall of 2021, we launched an after-school program at our Brentwood office under the leadership of our Executive Director, Marc A. Soto. This program provides a safe and nurturing environment where students can receive academic support, engage in enrichment activities, and build the confidence they need to thrive both in school and in life. In addition, we continue to develop community-based educational programs, recognizing that learning should extend beyond the classroom and into every stage of life.

As we look toward the future, our vision is to expand our educational offerings even further. We are working to introduce coding classes to prepare local students for opportunities in the growing technology sector. At the same time, we are committed to supporting adults in our community by offering citizenship preparation courses, equipping them with the tools and confidence needed to achieve their goals and strengthen their sense of belonging.

Of course, while we innovate and grow, we remain dedicated to the traditions that have become a cornerstone of our identity. Our holiday events will continue to bring joy and relief to families in need, reminding them that they are not alone.

At its core, Fundación de Esperanza exists to assist those who need support today, while helping them prepare and focus on a brighter tomorrow. We believe in building hope, fostering resilience, and creating opportunities for every member of our community to thrive.
